Christmas Designs Are Here in Aid of Children in Need

Pacamask’s latest Christmas masks feature Christmas jumper designs, so why not ditch the jumper this year, and wear a Christmas themed mask instead? It’s a great conversation starter on your way to work or at the shops! Don’t spend another year like Mark Darcy in Bridget Jones’ Diary, skulking by the turkey curry buffet in yet another embarrassing Christmas jumper. Switch to a Christmas mask instead and do some good for the environment by cutting down on the waste caused by disposable masks.

More importantly, £1 from every Christmas design mask sold will be donated to Children in Need.

Children in Need’s mission is to make sure every child in the UK is safe, happy, secure and has the opportunities they need to reach their potential. They fund over 3,900 local charities and projects which directly support children and young people across the UK. They support children and young people affected by a whole range of disadvantages such as poverty, disability, illness, distress or trauma.

BBC Children in Need has been raising money for young people in the UK that need help for over half a century. The very first broadcast took place in 1927 on the radio and raised over £1,300 – over £70,000 in today’s money – for four children’s charities.

The first televised appeal took place in 1955 and was presented by Sooty and Harry Corbett. Sir Terry Wogan made his first appearance in 1978. In 1980, the first BBC Children in Need telethon was broadcast. Presented by Terry Wogan, Sue Lawley and Esther Rantzen, this show saw a massive increase in public donations and raised an enormous £1 million!

On 13th November at 7pm, BBC One’s big appeal show for Children in Need returns.
